In December of 2012, I actually stayed 2 nights at Manresa Castle, in Port Townsend, Washington. The castle, finished in 1892, was the largest private residence ever built in Port Townsend, and is now a hotel and restaurant.
AND, it's supposedly haunted!
Check out Haunted Honeymoon for the ghostly details.
Eventually, I'll get to visit, and hopefully stay in, more castles. Until then...

Lists
Hi All :)
Welcome to my new world of blogging! As you'll soon see, I really don't know what I'm doing yet. But, if you know me already, that's me 80% of the time anyway.
I've titled my first post "Lists" because I even had to make a list of ideas just to see if blogging was even an option for me. After brainstorming a bit, and coming up with a number of future subjects, I decided that...well...why not? I have as much to say about a lot of normal stuff as anyone else, and some abnormal stuff too, of course. I also have a lot to say about nothing. Sometimes though, there may even be interesting subjects!
As far as lists go, making them is part of my life. Recently, the biggest reason is so I don't forget anything.
When I go on trips, or just weekend visits, there has always been a list somewhere of what I'm packing. Since getting a smart phone a couple years ago, my lists are usually on there. I use a free app called OI Shopping List. You can have as many different lists as you want. I have an ongoing To-Do list, along with a couple others that are somewhat permanent. I keep track of my blood pressure in one of those "permanent" lists. Before I go to the doctor, I just print it off, save a copy for myself, and give the doc a copy. Easy for the doc, easy for me, and that's one less thing that I have to think about when asked. And, I'm all for less thinking!
The best thing about making lists is being able to cross off, check, or scribble out something that you've finished. It's that feeling of accomplishment....that I have now.
